MAT CLASSES The mat workout is designed to teach the fundamental principles of movement with the key connections necessary for strength, flexibility, and endurance while developing lean muscles. Fundamental Mat is the introductory class for those who have never taken pilates or need to review the basics.   We offer modifications for those with osteopenia/osteoporosis in our fundamental class.  These movements are designed to protect the spine while increasing strength, flexibility and increasing  resistance a to the bones. Toolbox is a mat class which uses the ring, foam roller, stability ball, and bands to go deeper into the body. Intermediate Mat challenges the core with the intensity and flow from one position to the next without interruption. It is recommended that one complete a fundamental mat series or private sessions before taking other classes.
